Although the members come from all over Long Island, Studio Nine is based in Massapequa, NY. They have been together for more than a year now and do not see it ending anytime soon. Lead guitarist Dylan Gleit and bassist Kevin Massetti originally had the idea for the band when they recruited rhythm guitarist Andrew Hanc and vocalist Samantha Fernandez. As for their drummer, Tom Criblez, he joined the band when they were set on the idea of recording their first EP. Studio Nine recorded their debut five track EP, “Watch Me Burn”, in the month of June at Westfall Recording Company in Farmingdale, NY and released it on June 21st, 2012 on their Facebook page through www.studionine.bandcamp.com. In addition to their EP, Studio Nine has also played a number of shows all over Long Island, including The Break Contest, and are looking to expand their horizons and start playing in New York City and other nearby states. Their influences include Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Radiohead, Rival Sons, Pink Floyd, and many more. Studio Nine plans to play more shows and record more music and it does not look like anything is stopping them.
